Shane Dean is a native of “Money Earnin” Mount Vernon, New York. This star-studded city produced such names as Denzel Washington, Sean P. Diddy” Combs, Ben Gordon, Dick Clark, Art Carney, Pete Rock, JB Smoove, Leon, and Heavy D. Throughout his career in the
entertainment industry, Dean has put together an arsenal of creative tools as an actor, producer, writer, director, humanitarian and MC. Dubbed "America's Triple Threat” as a renaissance artist for all of the hats that he wears creates a unique package.
The industry has shown the dynamic parallel that lies within film and music. Any rapper that has had any real music success has
been catapulted into film because of their marketability. Shane Dean defines that success on both ends of the film and music industry. His current film, The Saints of Mt. Christopher, which he directs, produces and co-stars in with Tom Sizemore (BLACK HAWK DOWN) and Clifton Powell (RAY) has become one of the independent movies of the year.
He has a very imaginative and successful management team that understands how to brand an artist such as a Shane Dean with his own merchandising in an "Ice'd Out Jump Rope" for his new hot single featuring Trina, a water deal with a striving health franchise and a humanitarian campaign entitled; "The Stop The Violence", "Save Our Future Project" combating gun violence in America. He is currently in development on a New York gangster thriller entitled; "THE SON OF TONY".
He will serve as producer, director and co-star on the project. With a diverse brand of flows on the mic and various faces in soon to be announced upcoming pictures, Dean is promised to be one of Hollywood's rising stars. He is currently slated to be the future Ambassador of Water in Ghana and is in development on a humanitarian project entitled Shane Dean's THIRST FOR WATER Journey to Ghana Tour. He has already been given the Ghana Soul name of Kofi.
The journey will begin in New York with a charity concert and red carpet event attracting the top Ghanaian personalities. The project will consist of building boreholes to provide fresh water in the most needy villages of Ghana followed by food celebrations and finale concerts.
